Torrie is a graduate of Long Beach City College in California and California State University, Long Beach, where she earned a degree in Communications Studies. Torrie has generously volunteered her time to numerous non-profit organizations, gaining valuable insight into the world of Development. Additionally, she has been actively involved in various programs involving equality and social justice in communities. Prior to working for Pacific Whale Foundation, she worked at a law school where she learned many skills in administration. Torrie worked for PacWhale, as a customer care agent, for a short time before joining the Development Team.
Originally from Southern California, Torrie now resides in Maui. Having been raised in close proximity to the Pacific Ocean, she cultivated a deep affection for aquatic environments. A significant portion of her leisure time was devoted to visiting the aquarium, where she enthusiastically sought information on various marine species.
During her free time, Torrie enjoys spending valuable moments with her significant other and canine companion, as well as participating in pastimes such as reading, writing, sketching, snorkeling, and venturing out to explore.
