Ticiana Fetterman

Research Technician, Australia

Ticiana joined Pacific Whale Foundation in 2023. As a research technician based in Australia, Ticiana is responsible for UAS (drone) field operations, data processing, and analysis. She has a MSc degree from Auckland University of Technology (AUT), a Postgraduate diploma in Marine Science from The University of Auckland and a BSc degree from PUCRS in Brazil. For her masters research, Ticiana studied how effective drones are at describing the behavior of bottlenose dolphins and how this information can support conservation and management of this species. Prior to joining PWF, Ticiana has worked as a researcher in projects studying different aspects of cetacean ecology including population dynamics, distribution, habitat use and behavior in Brazil, New Zealand, The Cook Islands and Australia.
