With more than 22 years (and counting) working in leadership positions at Microsoft, Tahreem brings proven expertise in all things finance. Currently the computer software giant’s Corporate Treasurer and Chief Investment Officer, he is an experienced manager dedicated to contributing his talents and financial acumen to both his “day job” and his new role as Pacific Whale Foundation Board Treasurer. Tahreem excels in myriad areas of staff development such as recognizing and commending excellence in others; inspiring team members to achieve their potential while working toward common goals and the valuable trait of explaining complex information in a clear and approachable manner. His primary areas of professional excellence include knowledge of capital markets, foreign exchange, corporate finance, cash management and operations, treasury technology and solution-oriented consultation. In 2012, Tahreem was named in Treasury & Risk Magazine’s “30 under 40” special edition. In addition to ocean conservation, his passion for advocacy includes leading Microsoft’s investment efforts in climate and sustainability, affordable housing and racial equity.
