Pacific Whale Foundation's President and Founder Greg Kaufman has spent more than 35 years studying whales at sea from small rafts and boats. This unique whalewatch, offered for the first time ever, offers you the opportunity to watch whales and learn about them with this noted researcher, author and whale protection advocate on a small group, personalized raft tour. Throughout your two-hour cruise, you'll hear expert interpretations of the whales' behaviors, based on Greg's extensive experience with whales in the wild. Greg will also show you the best photographic techniques for capturing dramatic whale photos with your camera. You'll head to sea from Lahaina Harbor on Pacific Whale Foundation's state-of-the-art raft Ocean Freedom, a sleek rigid hull inflatable raft with a unique anti-slamming design for a smoother ride than ordinary rafts. This vessel has an onboard bathroom and safety handrails. Cruise departs at 9:15 am and returns at 11:15 am. Whale sightings are guaranteed or you go free on a regular Pacific Whale Foundation whalewatch. Your ticket includes a free autographed copy of Greg's book, Humpbacks of Hawai'i: The Long Journey Back. Price is $59.95 for adults, $44.95 for kids ages 6 to 12.  Pacific Whale Foundation Members save 20%. Book online at or call (808) 249-8811 ext. 1. Not recommended for pregnant women, children under age 6 or for anyone with back or neck problems.
