Is a MWF event:
SeaWees is an educational program for children ages 3-5 and their parents/caregivers offered through Pacific Whale Foundation. It features developmentally appropriate early-childhood practice including music/movement, demonstrations and guided exploration delivered in a child-centered environment.
From February 26 through April 2,  the SeaWees will investigate "Mighty Minis" -- the wide variety of small creatures can be found in marine habitats. These miniature marvels have to be tough to survive changing conditions and clever predators. We’ll meet some of these tiny creatures through stories, songs and investigations with live organisms. Our class schedule will be:
Wednesday February 26, 2014 - Shells and Armor
Wednesday March 5, 2014 - Safety in Numbers
Wednesday March 12, 2014 - The Quick and the Strong - Hide and Seek
Wednesday March 26, 2014 - Prince Kuhio Day - no class
Wednesday April 2, 2014 - Minis in a Mighty Habitat - "SEAfari" to South Maui Tidepool
Please note that each child must be accompanied to SeaWees by a parent or caregiver. SeaWees meets on Wednesday mornings from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Pacific Whale Foundation's Discovery Center overlooking Ma'alaea Harbor unless otherwise noted. The cost of a 4-week session is $60 for Pacific Whale Foundation Members, and $70 for non-members. It includes three classroom sessions and a "SEAfari" outing. A second child in the same family is 50% off.
For information and to enroll, please call Pacific Whale Foundation at (808) 249-8811 ext. 1 between 6 am and 9 pm daily. To learn more, visit
