In light of the recent disasters on Maui, we are committed to standing by one another and our community. We have been working tirelessly to help those whose lives have been turned upside down, gathering needed supplies and making daily supply runs from Ma’alaea to Lahaina on Ocean Spirit and Ocean Odyssey with employees and community volunteers, transporting those who need to evacuate the area, and housing those without homes to return to at our Ma’alaea offices.

The support of the community has been overwhelming – we are forever grateful for each and every one of you. Your generous support exceeded our expectations; we quickly surpassed our original goal of $500,000 for the PWF Disaster Relief Fund to support our 22 team members who lost everything. We have now shifted our funds to focus on supporting Maui communities and marine environment. Please direct your contribution to one of our two funds below.

PWF Maui Conservation Fund

A disaster of this proportion has affected Maui’s ‘āina (land, air and ocean), including whales, dolphins and other animals that depend on it for their survival. The PWF Maui Conservation Fund will be used to support efforts that align with our mission to protect the ocean through science and advocacy and inspire environmental stewardship.

Maui Community Relief Fund

As an organization, we are committed to supporting Maui’s community through this disaster – now and into the future, as Maui rebuilds. 100% of the proceeds from the PWF Maui Community Relief Fund will be used to provide emergency supplies to survivors and to organizations working to rebuild our community.

Pacific Whale Foundation is proud to announce your generous donations have allowed $300,000 in financial contributions to be donated to Treecovery ($75,000), Lahaina Community Land Trust ($100,000), Lahaina Restoration Foundation ($75,000) and Maui Rapid Response ($50,000).
