Maui - Pacific Whale Foundation is proud to announce its inclusion as part of the national Dolphin SMART program, becoming the sixth participant in Hawai‘i and the second on Maui. This partnership program was developed by NOAA's Office of National Marine Sanctuaries and National Marine Fisheries Service, the Dolphin Ecology Project and the Whale and Dolphin Conservation.

Ocean Spirit sailing vesselPacific Whale Foundation is proud to introduce the newest addition to its fleet, Ocean Spirit, Maui’s newest and finest sailing catamaran. Ocean Spirit and its trendsetting design will create an elegant platform for memorable whale and dolphin watches as well as snorkeling, sunset cocktail cruises, and private charters for visitors and residents of Maui.

Starting December 15, Pacific Whale Foundation's trained naturalists will be stationed at key points along Maui’s coast to help you locate and learn about whales from shore.

‘Tis the season for festive holiday cruises with the experts at Pacific Whale Foundation, including New Year’s Eve Cocktail Cruises from Lahaina and Ma‘alaea Harbors on December 31. Our Ocean Camp is a great way to keep the kids engaged and entertained during winter break, with sessions on December 29-31 and January 5-9. And our popular Trail of the Whale information stations will be offered along Maui’s coasts starting December 15.

It’s the season of thanksgiving and we invite you to celebrate with Pacific Whale Foundation on our Thanksgiving Cruises from Lahaina Harbor, Thursday November 27. Also, our Making Waves Lecture Series on November 13 will feature PWF Founder and Executive Director, Greg Kaufman, leading a discussion on how to “Be Whale Aware”. And on Veterans' Day, November 11, our Education team will be offering a special Ocean Camp for kids in grades 6-8.
