1. Full Moon Whale Song Serenade Cruise

Join us for an enchanted blend of listening to whale songs at sea by the light of the full moon, while learning about Maui's intriguing night sky.
This cruise features riveting narration by Harriet Witt, an international award winning astronomy writer and speaker. Her writing has been featured in publications such as Sky & Telescope, and Spirit of Aloha. She has been giving colorful and informative presentations on astronomy in Hawaii since 1990 and teaching "Making Friends With the Night Sky" classes at Maui Community College since 1992.
Adding to the magic in the winter months (December through April) is the opportunity to listen to the live, haunting songs of the humpback whales in the area, picked up via our underwater hydrophones and played on the speaker system on our vessel.
Our appetizer array includes local-style BBQ-grilled Maui Cattle Company beef strips, marinated in teriyaki sauce; Hawaiian-style boneless skinless chicken strips marinated in a special sauce; fresh vegetable crudite platter with Maui Onion dip; a platter of seasonal assorted island fruits and taro rolls.
Your ticket also includes all-you-can-drink chilled soda, juice, filtered water and up to three cocktails per adult, with a choice of local Maui microbrewery (Maui Brewing Co.) beer, plus wine and tropical well drinks including our famous Mai Tais. 2. Moonlight Tidepool Exploration
(2 hour duration)
South Maui tidepool
Brittle stars, urchins, octopi, oh my! Pacific Whale Foundation’s marine naturalists and educators invite the public to meet some of the fascinating creatures that roam Hawaii’s tidepools at night during our Moonlight Tidepool Explorations. This discovery event is recommended for everyone ages 6 and over. Participants are asked to wear sturdy shoes and bring a flashlight.
Start time for this event varies from month to month in accordance with the time of sunset and low tide. Please arrive to check-in 15 minutes prior to the start time.
This event lasts approximately 2 hours. Refreshments will be provided.
Advance reservations are required.
We will meet at the Public Beach Access on the south side of the Mana Kai resort in South Kihei (just past the Kihei boat ramp); there is a sign that reads "Public Beach Access."
During the first half of 2010, our Tidepool Explorations are offered on these dates: Friday, 1/8; Saturday, 1/9; Friday, 2/26; Saturday, 2/27; Friday, 3/26; Saturday, 3/27; Friday, 4/23; Saturday, 4/24; Friday, 5/21; Saturday, 5/22; Friday, 6/11 and Saturday, 6/12. 4. Stargazing Cruise

Experience the enchantment of Maui's velvet night sky on this stargazing cruise with Pacific Whale Foundation Eco-Adventures. Here in Hawaii, the most remote island chain in the world, you'll experience brilliant stars from an optimal vantage point.
This cruise is narrated by special guest Harriett Witt, an international award winning astronomy writer and speaker, known for her entertaining and informative commentary on the stars. Her writing has been featured in publications such as Sky & Telescope, and Spirit of Aloha. She has been giving colorful and informative presentations on astronomy in Hawaii since 1990 and teaching "Making Friends With the Night Sky" classes at Maui Community College since 1992.
While listening to Witt's intriguing presentation, enjoy a tantalizing array of appetizers including: local style BBQ grilled Maui Cattle Company beef sticks marinated in teriyaki sauce; Hawaiian-style boneless, skinless chicken strips marinated in a special sauce; a fresh vegetable crudite platter with Maui Onion dip; baked spinach dip with crackers; seasonal assorted island fruits; and a Hawaiian Sampler Platter, featuring Hawaiian heritage foods of kalo, Moloka’i sweet potato and ulu.
