Pacific Whale Foundation’s education team staffs a free humpback whale information and shoreline viewing station each Tuesday and Thursday from December 28 through April 30 from 8:00am-noon along the oceanfront pedestrian path, makai of the Wailea Beach Marriott. The station assists visitors in locating annually migrating humpback whales from shore and answers questions on a variety of topics from whale biology and behavior, to Hawaiian island natural history and marine conservation. A variety of materials and resources are available including binoculars, laser range finders, field guides, whale behavior guides and activities for children. The Whale Information and Viewing Station is sponsored by the Wailea Beach Marriott and offered free of charge.
