Tribute to the Whales: Juried Art Show and Community Expression

Artists and the Public Invited to Participate in Tribute to the Whales

The public is invited to a free evening event at the Maui Mall to show their love for Maui’s humpback whales through creative expression. Tribute to the Whales will take place on February 11 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm and includes an artist reception and on-stage tribute to the whales. Following the free music and dance performance, the public will be invited to share and enjoy music, art, poetry, stories, video and photos about their experiences with humpback whales.

“We know this; what people love, they will work to protect,” said Greg Kaufman, founder and president of Pacific Whale Foundation. “It is our hope that through this event we are able to give a voice to the power of creative expression while furthering our mission to protect our oceans through science and advocacy.”
