Ocean Camp To Take Place March 14 - 18

For children in grades K - 5, Pacific Whale Foundation's annual Spring Break Ocean Camp offers a dynamic and fun way to learn about Maui's remarkable ocean environment while making friends, enjoying adventures and having fun.

Spring Break Ocean Camp will take place from March 14 through March 18, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm at Pacific Whale Foundation's Discovery Center overlooking Ma'alaea Harbor. The camp program is developed by certified educators and marine scientists, who have planned an array of activities for campers, including a snorkel trip to Molokini, hands-on science projects, a visit to Maui Ocean Center, a tidepool exploration, beach days, art projects, games and more!

"It's the most fun way ever to learn about the amazing ocean that surrounds us here on Maui, and the incredible marine life found here," says Erica Gorman,Camp Director. "We offer a 10:1 camper to teacher ratio, so everyone gets lots of attention."

Maui residents and visiting children are invited to attend thecamp. "Many visiting families sign up their kids for a day or two, to give Mom and Dad the opportunity to spend some time away from the kids," says Gorman. "It's a win-win -- the children have a wonderful time, and the parents can get in a round of golf, go for a hike or just relax."

Parents can sign up for single days or for an entire week. The rate is  $72 per day ($61 for Pacific Whale Foundation Members). Register within 24 hours of the camp date and the price is $77 per day ($66 for Pacific Whale Foundation Members). Parents can register by phone,
anytime from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm at (808) 249-8811 ext. 1. Additional information can be found at www.mauioceancamp.org.
