Sign Up Now for Next Session of SeaWees

Pacific Whale Foundation is now accepting applications for its November /December session of its SeaWees program for preschoolers ages 3 to 5.

The SeaWees program, offered by Pacific Whale Foundation since 2004,  features developmentally appropriate early-childhood practice including music and movement, demonstrations and guided exploration delivered in a child-centered environment. Each SeaWees session consists of four classroom sessions and one “SEAfari” field adventure organized around a marine science theme.

Each child is accompanied by a parent or caregiver. SeaWees classes meet on Wednesday mornings from 9:00-10:00 am at Pacific Whale Foundation's Discovery Center at the Ma'alaea Harbor Shops.

The new session begins on Wednesday, November 27 and is based on the theme, "Seaside Storybook Science."  This program uses stories to spark children's curiosity and to lead the group on a journey of investigation and creativity.  Demonstrations, observations of live animals, short “field-walks” and arts and crafts will bring each story to life.

The cost of the four week session is  $70. Pacific Whale Foundation Members pay just $60. To learn more, visit http://www.pacificwhale.org/content/seawees-preschoolers. To register, please call Pacific Whale Foundation at (808) 249-8811 ext. 1.
