Our theme for February 23 , March 2, 9, 16, 23 is "Stories and Science." As you know, stories and science go great together! Each week we will use a story to spark our curiosity and lead us on a journey of investigation and creativity. Demonstrations, observations of live animals, short field-observations and arts exploration will bring each story to life.

The stories and their themes are:

February 23: What’s Up, What’s Down? (zonation in the open ocean)

March 2: I Mea Aha I ke Kai? (use of ocean resources in traditional Hawai’i- and today)

March 9: Play with Me (the value of patient observation in nature) Bring sun protection for a harbor walk today!

March 16: A City Under the Sea: Life in the Coral Reef (the seen and unseen inhabitants of the coral reef)

March 23: Children of the World Remember (caring for the earth in big and small ways)
