Safety Certifications
SAFETY CREDENTIALS
Safety is an important part of our camp program. All of our Ocean Camp staff are professional educators or certified marine naturalists, and are part of Pacific Whale Foundation education staff. All are over 21 and are college graduates. All of our counselors are CPR/First Aid trained. All water activities are staffed by Lifeguard Certified staff. Our adult to student ratio is 1:10 or better. Additional adult volunteers provide support for off-site field trip excursions. All staff are required to show proof of negative TB status. When we are out of the classroom, we carry parent contact information and first-aid supplies with us.
