PWF Advocacy
PWF ADVOCACY
At Pacific Whale Foundation, advocacy means providing a voice on behalf of whales, dolphins and the marine environment. Educating the public about the ocean is an important component of advocacy. We believe that children and adults who experience the wonder of the ocean and learn about marine wildlife are most likely to speak up in support of marine conservation. Since 1980, more than 3.5 million people have learned about the ocean firsthand through educational eco-adventure cruises offered by Pacific Whale Foundation and thousands of schoolchildren in Maui and Ecuador take part in our marine education programs each year.
Advocacy also involves action – and the drive and ability to tackle problems that threaten the health of the ocean. Whether it’s gathering thousands of petition signatures to stop human or traveling thousands of miles to participate in international meetings, Pacific Whale Foundation is committed to do what it takes to help protect whales, dolphins and the oceans.
