Kids are invited to have fun, experience the ocean around us, and enjoy new discoveries and adventures at Ocean Camp. This popular day camp, offered by the experienced marine educators at Pacific Whale Foundation, is for children in kindergarten to grade 5. Campers experience a variety of field trips and activities such as surf/windsurf lessons, tidepool explorations, beach fun, snorkel cruise to Molokini, hands-on science experiments, sports and games, arts and crafts, Maui Ocean Center visit, and much more. The camp is located at Pacific Whale Foundation’s air-conditioned Discovery Center in Ma’alaea.

Ocean Camp is staffed with friendly, enthusiastic and energetic professionals with years of teaching and summer camp  experience. In addition to holding graduate or undergraduate degrees, our counselors are also CPR, First Aid and Lifeguard certified and hold Marine Naturalist certifications from Pacific Whale Foundation. The camp is based on Pacific Whale Foundation's 31 years of experience in delivering quality marine education programs for kids.

We're especially proud of our 1:10 counselor to camper ratio, ensuring that each camper benefits from our staff's enthusiastic and friendly attention. Camp hours are from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, unless noted otherwise. Late pick-up can be arranged with 24 hour advance notice. Register for single or multiple days. Pacific Whale Foundation members enjoy savings on all of our camp programs.
