This is a MWF event

A free, day-long event for Maui schools that brings schoolchildren together in a beautiful oceanside park, to learn about the environment and their role in protecting it. This event is hosted by the non-profit Pacific Whale Foundation, in partnership with nonprofits, government agencies, community groups and Haleakala National Park. These groups work together to present outdoor, hands-on, science-based learning programs to the school classes participating in the event. Keiki E.C.O. Day aims to spark a life-long relationship between Maui’s school-aged children and educators and their local environment. We seek to lay the foundation for the development of an appreciation for and understanding of the natural world, which will encourage our future leaders to cherish, care for, and protect Hawaii’s natural splendor. The connections built between the keiki and their environment will benefit our community and our island long into the future.  For information, please call Karen Molina, Youth Education Director at Pacific Whale Foundation at 808.856.8341 or emailkarenmolina@pacificwhale.org.
