Maui Weather
Maui's average year-round temperature is around 80 degrees F. Nights are slightly cooler. Our tradewinds blow nearly every day, bringing rain and moisture to the windward sides of Maui (Hana, Haiku) and comfortable temperatures to the entire island. Because our cruises travel in the "lee" of the West Maui Mountains, the tradewinds that you experience on shore are usually not a factor at sea.
As you travel on Maui, note the various microclimates. The higher the altitude, the cooler the temperatures. Bring a sweater and possibly a rain jacket when visiting Haleakala National Park or Iao Valley. If you're heading out to sea during the evening or early morning, pack along a light jacket or cover-up.
