Making Waves Lecture Series: "The State of the Reefs"

Russell Sparks, aquatic biologist with the State of Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources Division of Aquatic Resources, will present a talk titled "State of the Reef" offering an overview of Maui's coral reef trends, threats and management plans for the future, on Thursday, June 20, from 6 pm to 7:30 pm. 
The talk is free and open to the public. It takes place at Pacific Whale Foundation's Discovery Center at the ocean-facing level of the Ma'alaea Harbor Shops, off Route 30 (Honoapiilani Highway) in Ma'alaea.
