“Skills to Scales- Marine Science Education Seminar”

A workshop of interactive marine science/enrichment opportunities for educators, youth coordinators and school administrators to model critical thinking within marine science content for student Pre-K- 12. $10 Registration includes: drawing for a marine eco-tour for two, teacher resources and give-aways, continental breakfast, and early registration for 2010/11 school program slots.  Maui's Keiki E.C.O. Day is a free, day-long event for Maui schools that brings schoolchildren together in a beautiful oceanside park, to learn about the environment and their role in protecting it. The day features hands-on learning activities, environmental exhibits, games and crafts. Maui school classes and homeschool groups are invited to register in advance. 8:45 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at Kalama Park.  For more information or to register, teachers should call Erica Gorman at (808) 856-8371.
