Trash bags and gloves provided, plus free artisan pizza from Porto afterwards for all volunteers. 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Meet at Pacific Whale Foundation's Discovery Center Classrooms in Ma'alaea. Free activity with Pacific Whale Foundation features a guided hike along Keoneo'io Bay (near La  Perouse) with spectacular views of the ocean and any whales in the area. For adults over age 15 who are fit, experienced hikers. Free transportation provided from Pacific Whale Foundation’s Ocean Store in Ma’alaea to and from the trailhead. No bathrooms on the trail.

The public is invited to enjoy refreshments and an open house at Pacific Whale Foundation’s headquarters in Ma’alaea from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm. Tour Pacific Whale Foundation’s research labs, education classrooms and meet the research team and staff.  We are located at the Ma'alaea Harbor Shops, next to Maui Ocean Center, off Route 30 (Honoapi'ilani Highway) in Ma'alaea. Land-based Whalewatch with Whale Researchers
Pacific Whale Foundation researchers will be stationed at Ka’anapali Beach and Papawai Point scenic overlook on Route 30, to answer questions about whales, help you watch whales from shore and learn about whales and whale research. Free and open to all. 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
